For nine silly ideas, who once were knights
For gold, stretched with crystal ice
For blots of ink, and swings of sword
For black lettered pages, for wine coloured nights
For hope, for laughter, for the greener side
For the hunger still unsatisfied
For smoke filled dungeons, and tamed green dragons
For hills, for rivers, for the surging tide.
The division bell rings and it's time to sing
Requiem for a dream that'd never suffice.

- That's how I remember the FC at LBSNAA...and the gang of nine who made it unforgettable.

  1. Nice lines. I have been following your blog recently and I must say it gives valuable inputs for the preparation. I am working with BOI as marketing executive and planning to write 2014 exam. Just one question how did u manage to read so many books. Since i know all of them are required for the preparation. But been a working professional its difficult to find time to read each book from cover to cover. It would be great help if you could share your email id. Regards Aastha

    1. Reading each book from cover to cover is neither required, nor advisable. You would have to zero in on what is important, keeping the syllabus prescribed by UPSC in mind. My id is kt.iitkgp@gmail.com

  2. Sir, What service have you chosen-IAS or IFS? If IFS, then your motivations for the same? I have cleared Prelims, and have to fill the Mains form now....making a proper choice creates dilemma in mind. So, any inputs from your side would be immensely helpful.

    1. It is a personal decision that you would have to make. Visit this page to know more about IFS and assess whether diplomacy is your cup of tea : http://ifsdream.weebly.com/

    1. Work on the personal profile that you have submitted to UPSC. The interview board would have your CV with them. All questions emanate from there. Be informed about current affairs.
