more resources for sociology

I found the following blogs helpful for zeroing in on resources for sociology -

My approach for paper-2 was similar to the one adopted in the second link. For paper-1, I've already described my methods in a previous post. The key is to pick and chose as per one's own convenience, keeping in mind the individual capabilities and constraints. The bottomline is that the syllabus has to be kept in mind and no stone is to be left unturned while covering it.

  1. hi kshitij, thanx for all the info.
also would like to ask how did u divide the time between the optionals and gs after prelims?

  2. I could never stick to stringent divisions of time. I just ensured that I completed the syllabus and revise what I'd read. However, I must say that I emphasised equally on all three after prelims. The current affairs was covered as a parallel current while I completed my optionals, and, at the tail-end of my preparation, I revised the static part of GS that I had studied before prelims(while the current affairs prep continued parallely). This I think depends on the individual and his/her level of preparation and you may like to evolve a strategy that suits you.

    1. I depended solely on IGNOU notes for Sociology paper 2, due to paucity of time.

Can you please share which pdf you referred to in IGNOU BA notes. There are too many PDFs to match it with the syllabus. Your help is highly needed..
